Ruth hit the nail on the head, but you might have some luck, or at the very least educate the rest of us, if you listed some other dishes. Try cruising the Outer Boroughs or Manhattan boards for some of the nostalgic posts for ideas--- "Cantonese" joints are becoming a rarity there too.
Curious about this same topic a few weeks ago, I found nothing on the menu fitting this description at Shangri-La Vegetarian Restaurant, the only Kosher Chinese place in SF. It was worth a shot...
