While I have not been to SF myself before, I have put myself in charge of researching and selecting restaurants for an upcoming trip my parents are taking with another couple to celebrate a birthday in SF. They prefer farm to table, French, new American and seafood cuisines. Birthday dinner will be the splurge around $100 per person without wine, and other evenings prefer to stay under $50 per person without wine. A good wine list is important.
I would appreciate any comments or other options anyone could offer on the following choices.
Thursday dinner: Quince. I plan to make reservations exactly two months before the day. Any recommendations on best reservation strategy? This will be the birthday dinner.
Friday dinner: The Girl and The Fig, day in Sonoma
Saturday dinner: AQ or Baker & Banker, pre-Opera. AQ is my first choice here. Jardiniere lounge, post-Opera
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Thanks!
